Antique American Victorian Gold Filled Natural Shell Cameo Pin Brooch

Presented is an antique, yellow gold filled and natural shell cameo brooch made during the late 1800s or very early 1900s. The gold mounting or frame has a twisted rope edge. The hand-carved shell cameo depicts a woman's profile. The woman appears to be ancient Roman or Greek and she is wearing a small crown in her hair. The clasp has a safety latch for security.

This piece is in great overall condition, especially when you consider its age.
