Presented is an antique, Victorian, American sterling silver footed tray or serving platter made during the late 19th century. This piece was retailed by and most likely manufactured by J. E. Caldwell & Company during the last quarter of the 1800s. The rim is raised and has a beaded rim. The flat, usable portion has machine turned engravings surrounding a wreath-form cartouche that has a fancy monogram.
This piece is in excellent overall condition. There is minimal surface wear commensurate with age and use, but no damages and no repairs.
