Antique American Colonial Coin Silver Pitman Providence RI Milk Pitcher Creamer
Presented is an antique, coin silver creamer or small milk pitcher made by Saunders Pitman of Providence, Rhode Island during the late 18th century. This American Colonial piece is done in a classic form and has a very fine quality monogram of the letter H done in a Gothic script. The underside has an old, marriage style monogram of the letter P over the letters M and B. This pitcher was made between the 1770s and the 1790s.
The underside is marked for Saunders Pitman. Guaranteed to be 900 purity silver.
This piece is in great overall condition for its age. There are a few very minor dents and a small split at the juncture where the top of the handle meets the body.
The creamer measures 5 1/8 inches from handle to spout and is 5 1/4 inches tall.
