Presented is an antique eyeglasses or spectacles case made during the mid 19th century. This piece is most likely American in origin, made during the 1850s or 1860s. The case is made of paper mache and is inlaid with natural, crushed abalone shells.
This piece is in excellent condition for its age. There is a small, round mark from sticker residue on the back, but there are no damages.
