Presented is an antique, Russian silver and niello enamel cigarette case. This piece was made around the 1890s and it is completely hand crafted. The cigarette case is covered in ornate niello enamel designs. The top has a classic Russian horse drawn carriage or troika genre scene. There is a monogram on the back of the case. The inside has a matte finish and light gold wash.
Both sides are marked with the Russian 84 silver purity mark for .875 purity silver.
This case is in excellent overall condition for its age. There are a couple of tiny dings to three of the corners and one corner has an old, solder repair.
