Antique 19th Century Russian Silver 3pc Tea Set Teapot Creamer Sugar Bowl
Regular price
$2,185.00
Presented is an antique, 3 piece, Russian silver tea set made during the mid to late 1800s. This late 19th century set is done in a classic, lobed or paneled form and the inside of each piece has a gold wash. The pieces are married together into a set, they are not an original set, but they are done in the same form and appear to be a matching set! The sugar bowl and creamer both have an old, original monogram of the initials MM and the teapot has never been monogrammed.
This set includes:
1 Teapot: 8 1/2 inches from handle to spout and 7 1/4 inches tall.
1 Creamer: 4 1/2 inches from handle to spout and 3 7/8 inches tall.
1 Sugar Bowl: 7 1/2 inches from handle to handle and 3 7/8 inches tall.
This set is in good overall condition for its age. The tea pot does not have any problems. There is a repair to the sugar bowl where one handle meets the body, a slight split near the other handle and a tiny hold that sugar won't leak through. The creamer has small dents along the base where it touches the table. These problems are not very significant. They are difficult to notice and do not detract from the visual appeal of the set.
Total weight: 1,009 grams or 35.6 ounces.
The teapot is hallmarked with a date of 1861.
The creamer is hallmarked with a date of 1876.
The sugar bowl is hallmarked with a date of 1859.
