Presented is an antique, Chinese silver fruit, flower or centerpiece basket made during the last quarter of the 1800s. The basket is raised on 4 bun or lobed ball form feet. The handle is done in an openwork form and the edge of the bowl has an applied silver rim. The basket has never been monogrammed.
The underside is marked for Wang Hing and 90 for 900 purity silver.
This piece is in excellent overall condition for its age. There are no damages and no repairs.
The basket measures 7 3/4 by 10 1/4 inches and is 1 3/4 inches tall without the handle up and is 6 1/2 inches with the handle upright.
Weight: 541 grams.
