Antique 1920s-30s American 14k Yellow Gold Carved Cameo Brooch Pin

Presented is a fantastic vintage yellow gold mounted carved shell cameo pin.

The setting is tested and guaranteed to be 14k gold, and stamped 14k on the clasp.  It does appear to be signed by the artist on the reverse side.

This cameo dates from the 1910s or 1930s.

It features a truly exceptional carving on shell of a pretty woman's profile.

The filigree work on the border is in very good condition. 

The lines in the cameo are mostly naturally-occurring and are not cracks.  There is one repaired crack in the cameo (to the left of the piece, near her hair), but this cameo is very secure in its setting.

The clasp is working well.  There is a retractable bale so that the cameo may also be worn as a pendant.
