Presented is an antique, Dutch silver serving spoon made in 1909. This Art Nouveau style piece is done in a very ornate fashion and has a newborn baby theme. The top of the twisted, openwork handle has a stork and the bowl has flourishes surrounding a genre scene of a couple watching over a baby bassinet.
The piece is marked with the lion passant for a minimum of .833 purity silver, the Dutch Minerva head mark, a date letter Z for the year 1909 and a maker's mark.
This piece is in great condition for its age and the designs are crisp.
