Regular price
$972.00
Presented is a beautiful Towle sterling silver bowl with openwork sides. This piece is made in the Aire pattern and dates to circa 1902. The sides of the bowl have an airy openwork design, while the center is solid. The center of the dish has a monogram of OMM in elegant interwoven script. Surrounding this monogram is a presentation date of October twenty-ninth, nineteen hundred and two, spelled out.
The bowl is in great condition. Any black you see in the photos is merely left over from polishing and could be cleaned up very easily. There are no splits, no dents, no breaks, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
The underside of the bowl is stamped sterling and with the maker's mark for Towle, as well as 'Aire' which is the name of the pattern.
The dish is about 2 1/4 inches tall at the rim and about 9 1/2 inches in diameter.
The dish weighs 349 grams or 12.3 regular ounces.
