Presented is an antique pair of American Colonial coin silver sugar nips or tongs made in the mid to late 1700s. The 1885 monogram was added over 100 years after the original production. This pair is done in a classic form with shell feet. One side is engraved with a monogram of the initials FH and the other side is engraved 1885.
This pair is in great condition considering its age. There is a small split to one handle, but this is hardly noticeable. One arm has 2 old solder repairs.
