Antique 1897 Dutch Silver Angels Cherubs Windmill Serving Spoon 7 3/4"
Regular price
$150.00
Presented is an antique, Dutch silver serving spoon made in 1897. This late 19th century piece is done in a classic form. The openwork, twist handle is topped with a windmill decoration above a pair of cherubs or angels.
The back of the bowl bears the Dutch lion passant for 833 minimum purity silver and a maker's mark, while the shaft bears an N date letter for the year 1897.
This piece is in excellent condition, especially for its age and the designs are crisp. There may be an old solder repair to the shaft, but if there is, it is very strong and hard to see.
Length: 7 3/4 inches.
Weight: 58 grams or 2 ounces.
