Presented is an antique, German silver serving piece made during the last quarter of the 1800s. This 19th century server is done in a Dutch Colonial style. The handle is done in a twist form and the top has a wreath decoration surrounding a cartouche that has never been engraved. The large, openwork base is beautiful cast with flourishes, flowers and a crossed torch and quiver of arrows.
The base is marked with the German crown and crescent moon symbols and 800 for the silver purity.
This piece is in excellent overall condition for its age. There is minimal surface wear, but no damages and no repairs.
