Presented is an antique, Dutch silver snuff, trinket or jewelry box made in 1853. This 19th century, Dutch piece is completely hand crafted. The lid is engraved with various patterns and floral designs. This is a good sized box and it closes securely shut. The box has never been monogrammed.
The box is marked with the Dutch Minerva head duty mark, the lion passant for 833 minimum purity silver, a maker's mark and a date letter T for the year 1853.
The box is in good overall condition for its age and the engravings are crisp. There is some denting to the underside and sides, but this is to be expected on a piece of this age. There are no major damages.
