Presented is an antique, American coin silver berry strainer or pierced ladle made by Edwin Stebbins & Company of New York City during the mid 19th century. This piece is done in a classic pattern and the front of the handle has an old, original monogram of the letter H. The ruffled bowl is pierced.
The back is marked Stebbins & Co and patent 1848.
This piece is in good overall condition for its age. There is only minimal surface wear and a split to the bowl, which you can see in the first photo at the 2 o'clock position.
