Presented is a fabulous Scottish Victorian sterling silver serving, platter, or stuffing spoon. This spoon dates to 1846 and was made by Robert Gray & Son. The spoon is done in an attractive, classical form, similar to the King or Kings pattern, with a foliate, shell and scroll design around the end of the handle. The spoon is well made from thick, heavy gauge silver, with a nice feeling of weight in the hand. The front of the terminal of the handle has a mirrored style monogram, of two S's or maybe P's back to back.

This piece is in great condition. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no monogram removals, and no repairs.

This piece is hallmarked on the underside with the lion rampant for sterling silver, the fish and tree mark for the city of Glasgow, the date letter b for 1846, Queen Victoria's head duty mark, and the maker's mark for Robert Gray & Son.

The spoon is about 11 5/8 inches long.

The spoon weighs 139 grams or 4.9 regular ounces.
