Presented is a nice Scottish Georgian sterling silver gravy or sauce ladle. This ladle was made by William Marshall, and dates to 1824. The ladle is done in a lovely King or Kings pattern, featuring classical shell and scroll motifs. The front of the handle has a monogram of AM in elegant script, possibly over an older monogram removal.

This piece is in great condition. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no cracks, and no repairs.

This piece is hallmarked with the thistle for sterling silver, the city mark for Edinburgh, the date letter S for 1824, King George IV's head duty mark, and the maker's mark for William Marshall.

The ladle is about 6 inches long.
