Presented is an antique, early 19th century, English sterling silver serving or stuffing spoon made by William Bateman I of London in 1822. The piece is done in a classic, rounded antique form and has never been monogrammed.
The back is marked with the leopard’s head for London, the lion passant for sterling silver, a duty mark of King George IV’s head, a date letter g for the year 1822.
The spoon is in great condition for its age with only minor surface wear.
