Presented is a Georgian, English sterling silver sauce or gravy ladle made in London in 1822. This piece is in the classic Fiddle pattern. The front of the handle has an incredible quality crest of a sword between a pair of wings. This is a great quality, hand crafted piece from the 19th century.
This piece is in excellent condition for its age. There is minor surface wear commensurate with age and use but no dents, no breaks, no splits, no monogram removals and no repairs.

The back is marked with the leopard’s head for London, the lion passant for sterling silver, a duty mark of King George IV’s head, a date letter g for the year 1822 and a maker’s mark of the initials JM.
