Presented is an antique, sterling silver gravy or sauce ladle of good size and weight made by William Eley & William Fearn of London in 1814. This Georgian, early 19th century piece is done in a classic Fiddle pattern. The front of the handle has an interesting, hand engraved crest of a armored knight holding up a goblet.
The back is marked with the lion passant for sterling silver, a date letter T for the year 1814, a duty mark of the king's head and a maker's mark for William Eley & William Fearn.
This piece is in excellent overall condition and the designs are crisp. There is minimal surface wear commensurate with age and use, but no damages and no repairs.
