Presented is an early 19th century, English sterling silver stuffing or serving spoon made by William Eley, William Fearn and William Chawner of London in 1808. This spoon is solid sterling and is heavy for its size. The handle is done in a classical, rounded tip fashion.
The back of the handle is marked with the crowned leopard’s head for London, the lion passant for sterling silver, a duty mark of King George III’s head, a date letter N for the year 1808 and a maker’s mark for William Eley, William Fearn and William Chawner.
This piece is in fabulous overall condition. There are no dents, no breaks, no splits, no monograms, no monogram removals and no repairs.
The spoon measures 12 inches long and weighs 127 grams or 4.5 ounces.
