Presented is a fine quality, English sterling silver stuffing or platter spoon made by Jonathan Perkins I of London in 1800. This piece is in a classical, long form. The tip of of the handle has an old, original monogram of the initials GFB.

The back of the handle is marked with the crowned leopard’s head for London, the lion passant for sterling silver, a duty mark of King George III’s head, a date letter E for the year 1800s and a maker’s mark for Jonathan Perkins I.

This piece is in excellent overall condition for its age. There is surface wear commensurate with age and use but there are no dents, no breaks, no splits, no monogram removals and no repairs.

The spoon measures 12 inches long and weighs 114 grams or 4 ounces.
