Presented is an antique, English sterling silver serving spoon made by Richard Crossley of London in 1796. This 18th century piece is done in a classic form and the bowl is hand chased with raised fruit decorations. The handle and gilded bowl are also engraved with design.


The back is marked with the crowned leopard’s head for London, the lion passant for sterling silver, a duty mark of the king’s head, a date letter A for the year 1796 and a maker’s mark for Richard Crossley.


This piece is in excellent overall condition.
