Antique 1793 Georgian English Sterling Silver Gold Fruit Bowl Serving Spoon

Regular price $150.00 $0.00 Unit price per

Presented is an antique, English sterling silver serving spoon made in 1793 by George Burrows of London. The handle has never been monogrammed. The bowl has a faded gold wash and is beautifully hand chased with detailed fruits and textured leaves. This is a classically designed, late 18th century, Georgian piece.

The back is marked with the crowned leopard's head for London, the lion passant for sterling silver, a duty mark of the king's head, a date letter S for the year 1793 and a maker's mark for George Burrows.

This piece is in incredible overall condition, especially considering age. There is minor surface wear, but the designs are exceptionally crisp and there are no damages or repairs.

Length: 8 3/4 inches.

Weight: 56 grams.
