Regular price $396.00 $0.00 Unit price per

Presented is a wonderful old English Georgian sterling silver fish slice or fish server. This piece dates to 1787. The server has a symmetrical blade, with a reeded edge. The blade of the server is pierced with a pattern of lozenges and rounds, with a hand engraved bright cut design surrounding the center. The server has a beautiful turned wood handle, made from a lovely rich dark wood.

This piece is hallmarked on the underside with the lion passant for sterling silver, the leopard's head crowned for the city of London, the date letter m for 1787, King George III's head duty mark, and a maker's mark of W with the second letter partially worn away.

This piece is in great overall condition. There is a repair/reinforcement to the point where the collar of the handle meets the blade, which is not very noticeable without careful inspection. The wooden handle is firmly mounted, with no chips, no cracks, no splits, and no repairs. The silver has no splits, no breaks, no dents, no monograms, and no monogram removals.

The server is about 11 1/4 inches long.

This piece weighs 99 grams.
