Presented is an antique, 18th century, English sterling silver footed tray made by Elizabeth Tuite of London in 1740. This old piece is heavy for its size. The tray is raised on 3 feet and has a raised, shell form border. The tray is beautifully hand chased with a floral border. This piece has never been monogrammed.
The underside is marked with the crowned leopard's head for London, the lion passant for sterling silver, a date letter e for the year 1740 and a maker's mark.
This piece is in great overall condition for its age. Two of the feet have a split and one has an old, solder repair.
