Presented is an incredible quality, 14 karat gold cameo made during the late 1800s or early 1900s. This is a large brooch, most likely carved in Italy. The gold frame was made in the United States. The cameo depicts a classical courting scene, it looks like Robin Hood on bended knee in front of Maid Marian. The shell is delicately carved with intricate detail. The clasp has a safety lock for added security.
This piece has been tested with nitric acid and is guaranteed to be 14 karat gold purity.
This piece is in fabulous overall condition. There are no flaws and no repairs.
The cameo measures 2 by 2 1/2 inches.
