Presented is an antique 14 karat gold and enamel pendant for the Chi Phi fraternity. The pendant is in the form of a Greek letter chi, adorned with blue and red enamel and fine foliate decoration, against a plain Greek letter phi with a simple matte finish. The loop/bail at the top is actually a split ring style, so it can easily be added to a variety of chains or fobs; the interior diameter of the bail is about 5 millimeters. This pendant is not stamped or hallmarked except with the number 7252 on the bottom edge. We have tested this piece with nitric acid and guarantee it to be 14 karat gold.
This piece is in excellent condition. The enamel is intact and in great shape.
The pendant measures about 3/4 of an inch long, including the loop/bail at the top.
Without the loop, the length is about half an inch.
This piece weighs 2.7 grams. -jm
