Presented is an antique, 14 karat yellow gold and shell cameo brooch, pin or necklace pendant made during the early 1900s. This is a fabulous quality cameo, one of the better quality cameos we have for sale. The 14K gold mounting is done in a filigree, openwork style and has leaf accents. The center is securely bezel set with a rather large, hand carved shell cameo of a lovely young woman with a star decoration in her hair and an anchor accent on her neckline representing hope. The pin has a safety latch for added security and the top has a hinged bale so the brooch can be worn as a necklace pendant.
The clasp is marked 14K.
