Presented is a handsome, 14 karat gold and chalcedony ring from the last quarter of the 1800s. The stone is beautifully carved with two overlapping faces. The faces are done in a Roman or Greek style. We believe this was originally a man’s ring and was resized to be a size 4 3/4. .
This piece has been tested with nitric acid and is guaranteed to be 14 karat gold purity.
This piece is in great overall condition. There is a flea bite chip to the top of the stone, but this is hardly noticeable. A line on the band likely indicating resizing is visible in the third photo, and appears on the opposing side of the ring as well. There are no other flaws.
The ring is a size 4 3/4 and it weighs 8.5 grams.
