Antique 10k Rose Gold Hand Carved Italian Cameo Shell Pin Brooch

Presented is a lovely little Italian 10 karat gold cameo from the late 1800s. The shell cameo is completely hand carved and is bezel set in an openwork loop form gold border. The shell is nicely carved in the form of a young woman with detailed hair. The gold frame is a rich rosy color. The clasp and the pin back have been replaced but there is still an old C style clasp.

We have tested this piece with nitric acid and it is guaranteed to be 10 karat purity.

This piece is in fabulous condition. There are no chips, no cracks, no splits and no repairs other than the clasp replacement.

The cameo measures 1 1/8 by 1 1/2 inches.
