Presented is a nice quality American brilliant period cut glass dresser jar from the early 1900s. The jar itself features beautiful cut and frosted floral decoration, nicely detailed and well done, with a starburst on the base. The lid is sterling silver with vibrant pink guilloche enamel, translucent to show the finely engraved machine turned design underneath. The inside of the lid has a light gold wash, so it will not be pitted or corroded by the scents/ingredients of the powder or cosmetics stored within.

The side of the lid is marked sterling along with the maker's mark for Thomae Company, a 20th century Massachusetts maker.

This piece is in excellent condition. The jar has only a few small nicks around the rim of the glass. There are no chips, no cracks, no breaks, and no repairs. The sterling lid fits well and has a substantial weight. The enamel is in great shape. There are no breaks and no repairs.

Measurements: 5 1/4 inches in diameter, and about 2 5/8 inches tall
Lid Weight (not all sterling): 166 grams or 5.8 ounces -kc
