Amazing 1840s-1860s American Victorian 10k Yellow Gold Mourning Pin

Presented is a lovely old Victorian yellow gold mourning pin.

The back of the pin is 10k gold, tested and guaranteed.
The front of the pin is gold filled.

This pin dates from circa the 1840s to the 1860s.

This piece features a very handsome border, set with what appears to be glass-encased hair.
The glass cover is in great shape.

The design is regal and distinguished.

The piece is in wonderful condition.
There is a dent on the reverse side of the pin which does not show when the piece is being worn.
The clasp, a replacement old C-style clasp, is working well.
