Presented is a nice set of 9 sterling silver demitasse spoons. One of the spoons is done in the Mary Chilton pattern by Towle Silversmiths which was first produced in 1912. The other eight spoons are done in the Governor Dummer pattern by Watson Company which was first produced in 1925. The two patterns are extremely similar. The Towle spoon is monogrammed with an S, and the Watson spoons are monogrammed with a B. The Towle spoon is hallmarked on the reverse with 925/1000, the maker’s mark for Towle Silversmiths, the patent date of 1912, and Sterling. The other 8 spoons are hallmarked with Watson’s old company hallmarks, Sterling, and Govr Dummer.
The condition is excellent. There are no dents, no splits, no breaks, and no repairs. PLEASE NOTE: The black spots you see on the silver in the first photo are the reflection of the camera lens. They are not flaws or damages.
The demitasse spoons are 4 1/8 inches long.
The total weight is 87.5 grams or 3 ounces.
