Presented is a fine set of 7 Portuguese silver spoons. The set consists of 6 demitasse size spoons and one larger spoon. The demitasse spoons date to 1882-1938. The spoons are done in a simple, classical design, with a downward turn to the end of the handles.
The spoons are in great condition. There are no splits, no dents, no breaks, no monograms, no monogram removals and no repairs.
The six smaller spoons are hallmarked with the Portuguese seated boar mark for the city of Lisbon, guaranteeing a silver purity of 833, as well as an additional mark that is perhaps a maker's mark. The single larger spoon has two marks we unfortunately do not recognize.
Six of the spoons are about 3 7/8 inches long. The single larger spoon is about 4 5/8 inches long.
The total weight is 67.1 grams or 2.4 regular ounces.
