Presented is a six piece place setting of fine china in the Cumberland pattern by Royal Worcester. This set is made of bone china and painted in maroon with fine gilt highlights. There is a beautiful swirled circular design along with a band of interconnecting flower buds and golden leaves. There is a gilded rim around the edge of each piece.
All pieces have a full set of marks ent on the bottom side. They include the Royal Worcester maker's mark, the pattern name Cumberland, and the words Made in England.
The pieces include a dinner plate, a large soup bowl, a salad or dessert plate, a cup and saucer and a bread-and-butter plate. The diameter of the dinner plate is 10 1/2 inches. The diameter of the soup bowl is 8 1/8inches
The overall condition is excellent. There are a few very minor knife or scuff marks on the dinner plate, but essentially in brand-new condition. There are no cracks, no chips, no breaks, no repairs, and no other problems.
