Presented is a set of 6 sterling silver huge dinner-size knives by International Silver Co. in the Marcell pattern, which was first introduced in 1907. The Marcell pattern is a lovely example of an Art Nouveau style floral pattern. These knives have the original old silver plated carbon steel blades. The silver plating on the blades is in superb condition and everything is useable.
The knives are marked sterling on the handles.
The condition is excellent. The carbon steel blades are in great shape and can easily be sharpened to a razor edge. The decoration on the handles is in fabulous condition. This is an extremely rare pattern, and it is so unusual to find such a rare pattern in the rarer dinner size, and with original carbon steel knives in great condition! We strongly do not recommend washing these in the dishwasher.
The knives measure approximately 10 inches long.
