Presented is a fine quality set of 6 English sterling teaspoons made by Josiah Williams & Company of London in 1906. This set is in the classical Fiddle Thread and Shell pattern. Each handle has threaded bands of design along the edge and a raised shell decoration at the tip. All of the spoons have a monogram of the initials EJ on the front of their handles.
The back of each spoon is marked with the leopard’s head for London, the lion passant for sterling silver, a date letter l for the year 1906 and a maker’s mark for Josiah Williams & Co (George Maudsley Jackson & David Landsborough Fullerton).
This set is in excellent overall condition. There are no dents, no breaks, no splits, no monogram removals and no repairs.
Each spoon measures 5 1/4 inches long and the combined weight of the set is 160 grams or 5.6 ounces.
