Presented is a fine quality set of 6 English sterling silver table, place or soup spoons made in London during the first quarter of the 19th century. The spoons are all done in a classic Queen Anne pattern and the handles have no monograms. Three of the spoons were made in 1818 by George Day and the other 3 were made by Thomas Streetin in 1824.

The back of each handle is marked with the leopard's head for the city of London, the lion passant for sterling silver purity and a duty mark of the king's head. Three spoons bear a C date letter for the year 1818 and a maker's mark for George Day. Three spoons bear a date letter i for the year 1824 and a maker's mark for Thomas Streetin.

This set is in good overall condition for its age. There are some worn edges to the sides of some handles, which we believe is from the removal of old monograms.

Length: 6 3/4 inches.

Weight: 185 grams.
