Presented is a superb set of 6 antique Whiting sterling silver teaspoons. These spoons are made in the rare and collectible pattern named Italian J Engraved, which began production in 1874. This pattern features exquisitely engraved bright cut decoration, which catches the light beautifully. These spoons have a monogram of P on the front of the handle, in Gothic lettering.
Each spoon is stamped with the Whiting maker's mark as well as sterling and a patent date of 1874.
This set is in excellent condition. The details of the pattern are nice and crisp. There are no splits, no dents, no breaks, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
Each spoon is about 6 inches long.
