Presented is a handsome set of 6 sterling silver salad or dessert forks made by Tuttle. This set is in the Feather Edge pattern, which was patented in 1938. These forks were made during the 1960s and have the corresponding production date marks. Each handle has a wonderful feathered band of design along the rim.
All of the forks are marked with the Tuttle hallmark and sterling. Tuttle used the initials of the current president to date their pieces and this set of forks includes date marks for John F. Kennedy 1961-63, Lyndon B. Johnson 1963-69, and Richard M. Nixon 1969-74.
This set is in fabulous overall condition with only the most minor surface wear. There are no dents, no breaks, no splits, no monograms, no monogram removals and no repairs.
Each fork measures 6 3/8 inches long and the combined weight of the set is 246 grams or 8.7 ounces.
