Presented are 5 beautifully hand painted Tressemanes & Vogt Limoge porcelain bowls. Each dish is painted with sprays of a different berry and leaves, including: strawberries; plums; lingonberries; cherries; and another type of berry which I cannot identify. The scalloped rims of the bowls are gilt. The painter, who was clearly a master of his or her craft, employed a bright, rich palette of reds, blues, greens, pinks, and yellows, to produce five of the finest examples of hand painting on porcelain.
The bowls are each marked T & V Limoges France in green under the glaze, and were produced ca. 1890-1910.
There are extremely minor losses to the gilding on the rims of two bowls. Otherwise, these five bowls are in excellent condition, with no chips, no hairlines, and no losses of paint. The condition on these pieces is so good, that it almost appears as though they were never used.
