Presented is a fabulous set of 4 bone china salad plates from Royal Crown Derby. This set is in the Traditional Imari pattern, which was produced through the 20th century. The pattern displays cobalt blue and orange flowers and imari-style decorations with many gilded details.
The underside of each piece is marked with the maker's mark for Royal Crown Derby and the pattern number 2451. Two of the plates have an older mark with the date mark for 1913. The other two with a newer mark are labeled Bone China.
This set is in excellent overall condition. The decorations are well-defined. There are no chips, no cracks, no crazing, no breaks, and no repairs.
There is a slight variation in diameter. The two plates with older marks are 8 1/8 inches in diameter. The other two are 8 1/4 inches and 8 1/2 inches in diameter. -kc
