Presented is a fabulous set of 4 gilt silver spoons. These spoons date to the late 1800s or early 1900s. We believe these are German spoons, likely from the Hanau region, but as they are unmarked we are not sure. However they are certainly from continental Europe. The spoons are done in a lovely classical Rococo or Baroque style, with ornate handles. The handles are done in the form of a woman holding a wreath above her head, topped with a crown. The shaft of the spoon is done in a twist form and the bowls of the spoons are rounded.
The spoons are in great condition. There are no splits, no dents, no breaks, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
These spoons have been tested and are guaranteed 850-900 purity silver.
Each spoon is about 5 3/4 inches long.
The spoons weigh 133.6 grams or 4.7 regular ounces.
