3pc Ornate Gorham Sterling Silver Demitasse Tea Coffee Set c1900

Presented is a stunning, 3 piece sterling silver demitasse tea or coffee set made by Gorham during the the late 19th or early 20th century. This set was made between 1890 and 1910. This set is heavy for its size. Each piece is very decorative and is completely hand chased with ribbon swags and festoons of fruit and flowers. None of the pieces have ever been monogrammed. The teapot’s handle is very secure in its heat insulators and the spout has a neat animal head design. All of the scroll and leaf rims are separately cast and applied. The interiors of the sugar bowl and creamer have a nice gold wash. This set includes: 1 Tea or Coffee Pot: 8 inches from handle to spout and 9 1/4 inches tall. 1 Creamer: 4 1/8 inches from handle to spout and 4 3/8 inches tall. 1 Sugar Bowl: 6 1/4 inches from handle to handle and 3 inches tall. Each piece is marked on the underside with the Gorham sterling silver hallmark. This set is in fabulous overall condition and the designs are very crisp. There are no damages and no repairs. The combined weight of this set is 1,116 grams or 39.4 ounces. -et
