Presented is an antique set of 3 American coin silver teaspoons or coffee spoons made by John & Peter Targee of New York City between 1800 and 1814. This early 19th century set is done in a classic Coffin End pattern. The front of each handle has a hand engraved monogram of the initials WEK.
The back of each spoon is marked for John and Peter Targee. Guaranteed to be 900 coin purity silver.
This set is in good condition for its age. There is surface wear commensurate with age and use and a couple of small dings and the reverse impressions of the lap over from the handles to the bowls, but no other flaws.
Length: 5 7/8 inches.
Weight: 52 grams.
