Regular price $282.00 $0.00 Unit price per

Presented is an antique pair of English, sterling silver serving or platter spoons made by George Smith II of London in 1771. Each ruffled bowl has a light gold wash and is hand chased with detailed fruits and leaves. The front of each handle is hand engraved with flowers and a fancy, un-monogrammed cartouche. The back of each handle has an old, interesting crest of a warrior or soldier on horseback in the rain.

The back are marked with the crowned leopard's head for London, the lion passant for sterling silver, a date letter Q for the year 1771 and a maker's mark that we believe to be for George Smith II.

This set is in great overall condition considering its age. There is minor surface wear, but the designs are crisp and there are no damages or repairs.

Length: 8 inches.

Weight: 87 grams.
