19th Century German Porcelain Schneeballen style Flower Basket
Regular price
$121.00
Presented is an antique porcelain basket made during the late 19th century, most likely during the 1870s or 1880s. This piece is done in the schneeballen style that you see from Meissen and is almost certainly German in origin. The outside of the basket has high relief, hand painted flowers and leaves on either side.
This is a wonderful and decorative hand crafted piece. There are two lines or cracks that are only visible on the inside of the basket, which are both pointed out in the photographs. There are some missing flower petals, stems and leaves, which is to be expected on a delicate piece such as this. The missing pieces are not very noticeable unless you are closely inspecting the piece.
The basket measures 9 1/2 inches wide and is 5 7/8 inches tall.
