Presented is a fabulous pair of Georg Jensen sterling silver sugar nips or tongs. These tongs are made in a lovely grape cluster pattern, and date to around the 1930s-1950s. The handles of the tongs have a stylized design, showing a cluster of grapes inside heart-shaped vines. The arms of the tongs have a small foliate and grape cluster decoration as well. The tongs are very stylish and well made, and would make a great addition to any tea service.
This piece is in great condition. The tongs have a good strong spring mechanism which is working perfectly. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no cracks, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
The tongs are stamped with the Georg Jensen maker's mark as well as sterling and Denmark.
The tongs are about 3 5/8 inches long.
The tongs weighs 27 grams.
