Presented is a lovely pair of Tiffany & Co sterling silver openwork baskets. This pair dates to 1907-1947. The dishes are identical, featuring elegant pierced openwork and a decorative reeded interior rim. Each dish stands on four scrolled leaf form feet, with scroll and foliate designs joining the feet to the body.
The dishes have a monogram of CD on one side of the interior, but this is hard to notice, and the other side or the exterior is not monogrammed, but could still be monogrammed.
These pieces are in great condition. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
The underside of each piece is stamped with the Tiffany & Co. maker's mark, sterling 925-1000 and the initial 'M' for the company director between 1907-1947, John C. Moore II.
Each basket measures about 7 by 4 by 3 inches, LxWxH.
The total weight for the pair is 347 grams or 12.2 regular ounces. -jm
